C# comes to iPhone and Wii: Yeah Mono

Several apps in Apple’s App store are powered by Mono. The apps are statically compiled to native code; For this, Unity is the best option.

WOW! Now I don’t have to kill myself with [[NSFoo alloc] initWithTrash] anymore. I can just focus on the code and not retain/release.

So the Pre is going to support all the things that the iPhone is missing? hmmmm. “Going support” is not the same as “supports“. fun days.

Hyundai’s phones are ridiculous: but so were their cars

Engadget reports: that Hyundai’s makes low-cost phones which are sold in parts of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

“If someone wants one, then they aren’t all that *creatively ridiculous*…”. They used to be teased about their cars too: Hyundai is coming!

Windows Mobile 6.5: Ohhhhh it’s pretty

Gizmodo has a video of the new Windows Mobile 6.5 running on a HTC Touch Diamond 2 phone. Very response, very pretty - and it runs flash!

My {take}

Did I mention that it runs flash?! There are quite a few cool features, but it’s no iPhone - no pinch zoom for instance. But it has flash!!!

My {take}

Get it while it’s hot.

Create an actual book for developers, not just some regular help files (for an API) - Better move than Apple.

Nokia Ovi: Yet another Mobile App Store

Nokia lauches it’s own app store (Ovi Store). Store goes live in May for S60 and Series 40 devices; and June for the new Nokia N97 devices.

Yeah!!! Yet another app store to futher fragment and confuse developers and users alike.
