Gmail + Twitter = A better FaceBook

FaceBook is currently the leading social network. This could all change if Google were to purchase Twitter and integrate the service directly into Gmail. Gmail includes tasks, IM and mail. Now add user stats from Twitter and iGoogle’s widgets, and we have a better FaceBook.

By all acounts, Google’s own social network Orkut hasn’t taken off in the states. What are your thoughts? Do you user Orkut?

Users are required to sign in with their Twitter password. The site is not very user-friendly - click the big blue “BigTweet” button :)

Community pressures FaceBook to revert changes to its TOS. FB complies temporarily and promises substantial revision in a few weeks - more.

My {take}

Seems like the users have won a small victory (for the time being). It’s good to see large companies listen to their users.

This is one of the more meaningful twitter related articles that I’ve seen in awhile. It is well written and very detailed.

Facebook CEO justifies changes to their Terms of Services

Mashable reports: Facebook (FB) founder/CEO Mark Zuckerberg attempts to justify the changes to their Terms of Services (TOS). 

My {take}

Bottom line, the TOS stays as is. The changes will remain. They ask you for their trust. YOUR data will not be expired when/if you leave FB.
